Data collection

Blackout does not collect, store, share, sell, or transmit personal data.

Permissions

Blackout uses the Android “Display over other apps” permission to show a floating button and black overlay above other apps. This permission is used only for the app’s core overlay functionality.

Foreground service

Blackout may use a foreground service so the floating overlay control can remain available while the user is using other apps. The foreground notification allows the user to exit Blackout or stop the overlay service.

Third parties

Blackout does not create user accounts, does not use analytics, does not show ads, and does not send data to Fredware or to third parties.
